Leica M10 Monochrom
The idea came about from not just wanting to create images for clients but to really challenge myself to pick up a camera and document the world around me everyday. Its been a stretch but also so rewarding trying to find a new perspective in my day to day life and put in on film.
seventytwotwelve is about shooting the equivalent of two rolls of film a month for a year. That’s seventy-two pictures a month which is just over two shots a day, simple as that. The project is for a year and over that time I want to curate and edit down to 12 images which will be part of an online exhibit and possibly a real show.
There are no rules just the concept that whether your using an iPhone or a stills camera you shoot with one lens. No zooms, no cropping, just the view on the world a fixed prime lens gives you.
Hopefully I can inspire you to do the same. Dust off a camera and take it with you whoever you go, you’ll be surprised how inspiring it can be and the impact it has on your creativity.
My cameras of choice, Leica M10 Monochrom, Leica Q2 Reporter and an iPhone 15 Pro Max.
